Latif Ladid
Latif Ladid is a distinguished leader in internet technology and a recognized advocate for IPv6 adoption. As the Founder and President of the IPv6 Forum, he has been instrumental in promoting the development and deployment of IPv6 worldwide. He also serves as an Emeritus Trustee of the Internet Society, contributing to shaping the future of the internet.
Latif is the Founding Co-Chair of the IEEE Future Networks World Forum 2024 and holds leadership positions as the Board Chair of both the IPv6 Ready Logo Program and the IPv6 Education Program. He is a member of the 3GPP PCG Board, influencing standards and policies in mobile telecommunications.
His extensive leadership experience includes roles as Former Co-Chair of the IEEE Blockchain World Forum, Former Chair of the IEEE IoT World Forum, and Former Chair of the ETSI IPv6 Industry Specification Group. He was also the founder of the EU Public Safety Forum, developed from the EU project u2020, and served as a Member of the UN Strategy Council for the Future Internet Forum, representing Luxembourg.
As a Research Fellow at the University of Luxembourg since 2006, Latif has contributed to multiple European Commission Next Generation Technologies projects. His expertise and vision have been recognized with the IPv6 Forum Internet Pioneer Award in 2002 and the IPv6 Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.
