KORY MURPHY
Kory Murphy is a Program Officer at The Lemelson Foundation, a leading funder of invention for social and environmental impact. With over 10 years of experience in policy analysis, equity and inclusion, and nonprofit management, Kory applies his skills and knowledge as a social systems engineer to support and empower innovators and entrepreneurs who are solving the world’s most pressing challenges.
Kory is also a missional entrepreneur and a developer, who co-founded and leads two ventures that focus on increasing Black ownership and participation in climate tech and infrastructure. NW Xcelerator is a nonprofit business accelerator that helps Black climate tech startups grow and scale, while Ahmose, Breedlove & Black, LLC is a critical infrastructure development group that invests in and builds environmentally just projects. Through these initiatives, Kory aims to create socio-economic opportunities and sustainable communities for Black people in the Portland Metro area and beyond.
