Edwin Mugume, PhD
Edwin Mugume (Member, IEEE) received a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering (First Class Honours) from Makerere University, Uganda in 2007, and an MSc degree in Communication Engineering (with Distinction) from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 2011. He completed his PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK in 2016.
He has industry experience in the planning and optimization of mobile cellular networks. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Makerere University. His research interests encompass deployment strategies of future dense heterogeneous cellular networks and exploiting ICTs for development, especially in underserved settings.
