Benoit Pelletier is currently Director, Next Gen Ecosystems & Alliances in the Advanced Technologies at VMware driving the execution of the Next G strategy by focusing on human and societal needs – aligning with the evolutionary cycle of human behavior, society, and other technologies. Proud co-founder of the Open Grid Alliance, an industry-led initiative for rearchitecting the Internet, as well as ENCQOR 5G, a strategic PPP initiative in Canada.
Serving in 5G/6G alliance’s boards: board of OGA, board of Governors for 5G Americas, Next G Alliance’s FMG & co-chair of the Steering Group, and general co-chair of IEEE Future Networks World Forum and Industry Fora conference.
Creative thinker and passionate about co-innovation, disruptive technologies, and execution in different industry markets: telecom (VMware, Nortel), transportation (Bombardier), and aerospace (Oerlikon Aerospace). Proven leader with an intrapreneur mindset who creates rich and unique ecosystems that connect multinational corporations, SMBs, governments and academia. Benoit held several leadership positions in innovation, design, system integration, program management and business development. Benoit holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke.
