Alex Tveit

Alex Tveit has nearly two decades of experience in the private equity sector in Canada. During his time as an active day-to-day partner, he led three main divisions which included advances of close to $2B, working closely with entrepreneurs and organizations across virtually any sector and funding vehicles, both in Canada and internationally. 

During the same time, he mentored and ran a growth accelerator focusing on scale-up with several national partners such as Futurpreneur, BDC, Dentons, and Spin Master, for close to 6 years.

Recognizing the role that innovation and entrepreneurship needs to play in meeting the world’s environmental and societal challenges, he is now focused on working with cities and communities around building ecosystems for innovation in Canada and globally, through the nonprofit Sustainable Impact Foundation. Together with partners, he is developing a Roadmap to Regional Innovation, which serves as a guide for actors in ecosystems to take on systemic challenges, such as the critical issue of digital equity.

He is a firm advocate of finding mechanisms for cross-border knowledge sharing and collaboration, focused on decentralizing our ability to innovate.
