Winner Presentation: Dr Subrat Rout

Dr Subrat Rout presents his team’s project, InterGram: Advanced Digital Development Centers for Delivering Essential Community Services over High-speed Broadband in Rural India, which addresses the issue of the growing rural-urban digital divide which prevents the rural population from fully participating in the digital economy.

InterGram is an advanced “eCommunity center” that extends high-speed broadband to remote Indian villages and delivers a wide array of innovative and relevant applications that enable rural citizens to truly enjoy the dividends of a digital economy.

Their solution was awarded the 1st Place Technology Applications Proof of Concept prize, sponsored by Intelsat.
